Schedule
A schedule with your health in mind
Our schedule was intentionally designed to maximize your dance time without compromising on sleep. No more 3 hour long breaks in the middle of the festival. No more taking naps just to get through the day. No more zombie dancing at 4am when you can barely move your feet but don’t want to miss out. As our friend Archie has been saying for YEARS:
Benefits
- More sleep
- More sanity
- Less dying
- People are rested giving them the ability to enjoy the presence of people more
- DAY PARTY VIBES
- Actually enjoy breakfast
- More time to actually hang with people
- No death from lack of sleep
- Actually feel energized on Monday morning
- Everyone bringing their A game to the dance floor cause they aren’t hurting from being sleepy
We couldn’t have said it better ourselves.

Themes
Friday
Indicate your role!
Wear black if you’re a lead, turquoise if you’re a follow, and pink if you’re a switch!
The Divergence team firmly believes that anyone can dance in any role! As a community, we should strive to not assume someone’s role based on their gender or how they look. Rather, we should get in the habit of asking someone’s role when we ask them to dance. This way, we can create more inclusive environments where people don’t feel pressured to adhere to a specific “norm” and can choose whichever role they prefer or both!
Saturday
Team sleep!
Wear pajamas to indicate your love for a full night’s rest.
As you know, one of the Divergence values is Health. The main way we achieve this is by designing a schedule that allows everyone to get 8 hours of sleep each night so they can feel their best during the full day of workshops and socials. What better way to represent that sleep is a priority to you than getting dressed for bedtime way before it’s bedtime? 😂
Sunday
Consent is sexy!
Wear whatever makes you feel sexy!
*Genitals, butt, and breasts must remain covered
Divergence creates a safe environment for you to express yourself. Consent is always necessary when interacting with others bodies as we do in Zouk. This festival is a great opportunity to practice consent! Use your words rather than nonverbal cues to ask someone to dance. If it’s your first time dancing with someone, ask if they’re ok with dancing in closed embrace. Likewise, don’t engage in more intimate connection like face rolls or massaging unless you’ve received consent. And if you’re attracted to someone, always ask someone OFF the dance floor if the feelings are mutual before making a move!
